International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026 Volunteer Spotlight - Drogheda and District Support 4 Older People

About Drogheda and District Support 4 Older People

As part of our 26 of 26 Project, we're highlighting the organisations that make volunteering in County Louth so rewarding. We are featuring Drogheda and District Support 4 Older People, a local charity that has been supporting older people across Drogheda, South Louth and East Meath since 2010.

The organisation helps older people remain independent, connected and active through services such as befriending, wellbeing phone calls, digital support, small home maintenance and community programmes. Their work helps reduce loneliness and ensures older people can continue living safely and confidently in their own homes.
