About Irish Girl Guides
Irish Girl Guides is a youth organisation that gives girls and young women a place to grow in confidence, learn practical life skills, and feel part of a supportive community. It’s built around shared experiences - everything from games and crafts to outdoor challenges and teamwork - helping members develop at their own pace in a welcoming environment.
As one leader put it, Guiding is “not school, not home,” but something in between - a space where girls can relax, be themselves, and discover what they’re capable of without pressure or competition.
Volunteering with the Irish Girl Guides
Many leaders first joined as children and stayed on because Guiding became something meaningful in their lives. As they grew up, they wanted to “give back” the same opportunities they once enjoyed.
