The Welcome Café by Louth Local Development, Louth Volunteer Centre, SICAP, and the Irish Red Cross Dundalk Branch is a warm and friendly space where newly arrived and local communities come together to connect, relax, and feel at home. This feature is part of Louth’s 26 of 26, celebrating organisations across the county that support volunteers and strengthen communities.

A place where everyone is welcome

‍Hosted in the Community Office on Park Street, the Welcome Café offers a relaxed and welcoming environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. It is a place to sit down, have a chat, share a laugh, and enjoy time together. The café brings people together over simple pleasures such as games, music, conversation, and tasty treats. These shared moments help break down barriers and create meaningful connections.

New café space in Ardee

‍In addition to the Dundalk location, the Welcome Café has also opened a new space in Ardee Library, continuing its mission to create connection, belonging, and community across Louth powered by committed volunteers and partners who believe in the value of togetherness.
